Skin Rejuvenation and Hair Removal  with the Aurora Elos
 
Aurora is a safer, more comfortable way to remove or reduce skin imperfections and unwanted hair from the face and body. Utilising proven technology that combines light, electrical energy and cooling, Aurora precisely targets hair roots, blood vessels or pigmented lesions, gently removing them without damaging surrounding tissue or the skin. Aurora technology allows treatment to most skin types and hair colour.
 
Excellent results can be achieved for Skin Rejuvenation (Elos FotoFacial). One of the most effective facial treatments you can have. Once a month for 5 months, this treatment is cost effective and will make dramatic improvements by reducing:

Photodynamic Therapy (PDT)
 
PDT involves applying a solution of  5 - aminolevulinic acid (ALA) to the skin, leaving this for a period of time and than performing a skin rejuvenation treatment using the Aurora Elos. The ALA is concentrated in sun damaged skin, sunspots, early skin concerns and acne lesions. These areas are targeted with the skin rejuvenation treatment and surrounding normal skin is spared. Results are excellent with significant improvements in pigmentation, broken capillaries and skin texture, as well as treatment for visible sunspots and prevention of new lesions.
 
Annual PDT will treat and prevent sunspots and skin concerns before they grow and require surgical excision. There is the added bonus of improved skin texture and even colour. Unlike treatment with liquid nitrogen, PDT does not result in scarring or pigmentation of the skin.
 
A consultation with Dr Gallagher is required prior to PDT treatment for a skin assessment and to establish suitability for the treatment.
 
PDT will result in variable redness of the skin that will settle in 5 – 10 days. 1 – 3 treatments may be needed.

 

 

 

Microdermabrasion

Microdermabrasion is the most effective and desirable option in skin care resurfacing available. It cleanses, refines pores, pormotes collagen production and evens out skin tone and texture. As such it can be used to treat and minimise the most difficult skin conditions, or just to rejuvenate and maintain the health of the skin.
